  • FIB-4 1.45 - 3.25: Indeterminate; further testing recommended
  • FIB-4 > 3.25: High likelihood of advanced fibrosis

Note: Use with caution in patients <35 or >65 years old, as accuracy is reduced.

Enter patient's age, AST, ALT levels, and platelet count. Click "Calculate FIB-4 Index" to get the fibrosis score and interpretation with color-coded risk zones for easy reading.

  • Best used for HCV and HBV patients to noninvasively assess liver fibrosis.
  • Not validated for other liver diseases like NAFLD or alcoholic liver disease.
  • Values between 1.45 and 3.25 require further testing (imaging or biopsy).
  • Platelet counts can be affected by other conditions; interpret carefully.
